Why this exists

Most players never get told the truth.

You can work all summer and still walk into a season guessing. Nobody sits you down and tells you what the next level actually asks for, or which part of your game is going to hold you back when the competition gets faster.

LaTanya Collins has coached at every level of college basketball, and she keeps meeting freshmen who were never told. So she built a weekend around it. Real coaching from people who run programs, three games to put it under pressure, and evaluators whose job is to tell you what they saw.

You bring the work. We will tell you where it stands.

LaTanya Collins crouched in a team huddle with a play board on her knee, marker in hand, giving instructions to the players around her.

What you get

What happens on the 10th and 11th.

Two days, four things. No filler and no standing in line waiting for a turn.

Two days of coaching

Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday 9 to 1 with coaches who run programs at the college and national prep level. Small groups, real teaching, not a hundred kids on one court.

Three live games

Skill work only takes you so far. You put it under pressure across the weekend, with evaluators watching.

An honest evaluation

Two evaluators work the floor all weekend. You leave knowing where you actually stand and the specific things to take into your season.

A shirt, a gift and Saturday lunch

Every player walks out with Standard gear, and lunch is provided on the Saturday. Bring your own ball if you have one you like.

Who's coaching

Who you'll be learning from.

Every person on this floor coaches, evaluates or represents players at the level you are aiming for.

Head Women's Basketball Coach, St. Mary's College of Maryland

Fifteen years a college coach, at every NCAA level: Division I, Division II and Division III. United East Coach of the Year in both 2025 and 2026, and in her first season at St. Mary's she took the program to its first regular-season title since 1997. Before you ask

Questions parents actually ask.

Who is this for?

Boys, grades 5 through 8, and girls, grades 5 through 10, who are serious about getting better. You do not need to be on a travel team or be the best player in your gym. You need to want the work.

Is this one day or two?

Two. Saturday runs 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday runs 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. One payment of $95 covers both days.

What time should we get there?

The first whistle is 10:00 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM on Sunday. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the first whistle each morning. That gives you time to get through the check-in table, find your group and warm up.

What should my player bring?

Basketball shoes, a water bottle, and a second shirt. We provide a Standard shirt at check-in. Bring your own ball if there is one you like to warm up with.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is provided on Saturday. Sunday finishes at 1:00 PM, so send your player with a snack and a water bottle for the morning and plan to eat afterwards.

Do parents stay?

You are welcome to stay and watch. General admission is $15 per person, per day, or $25 for a weekend pass covering both days. Player registration does not include spectator admission.

Buy spectator admission

What does the evaluation actually cover?

Our evaluators watch every player through skill work and all three games. The focus is on what translates: decision making, how you move without the ball, defensive posture, and how you respond when something goes wrong.
